RIDING HIGH -- WITHOUT SACRIFICING BALANCE

A Mercedes dealer once told me about something called "unibody construction" which supposedly was the secret of its low-profile comfort. The vehicle, he explained, could feel large without riding high -- giving families easier access to its environs. The 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class exemplifies this characteristic, something I felt as I climbed in -- rather easily, I might add -- myself.
I can't explain fully what it's like, but I can show you the 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class in photos, specs, reviews and other automotive intel. There's pricing info and financing advice too, for those whose interest extends beyond mere curiosity.

2008 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

When it comes to the way it drives, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz M-Class is second to absolutely none. Not only do drivers love the way it handles on the road, but they extol its virtues when it comes to driving off road as well.

Drivers particularly love the 2008 M-Class for its acceleration, performance and the signature Mercedez AirMatic air suspension which is a standard option.

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz M-Class features a diesel engine which drivers consider completely state of the art. Although it may be surprising to some, the 2008 M-Class’s diesel engine is just as clean as gasoline engines, and gets great fuel for today’s economy. It is not loud like the reputation older diesels have earned, it is actually just as quiet as any gasoline-burning vehicle.

During a time when gas mileage and zero pollution are so important, the 2008 M-Class goes above and beyond the call of duty.

The dashboard itself features a hooded instrument panel, which boasts beautiful chrome trim and sharp, clear and easily visible graphics. Between the gauges, there is a central information window. This can be programmed to keep the driver updated on driving information and maintenance.

The steering wheel is thick, as befitting such a powerful vehicle, and it is considered especially perfect for off-road driving. Its top half has a wood finish, while the bottom half is covered in leather. The center hub has everything from information to a television, to the entertainment and navigation systems. In addition, there is a COMAND system and an LCD display which shows all the aforementioned information.

Critics and drivers alike love the exterior of the 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class. These cars come with sweeping front fenders, a wedge shape for aerodynamics, and a grille with air vents and wide louvers.

In addition, the front bumper is equipped with a guard that boasts recessed openings. There are two vent grilles on the hood, making for a fin trim reminiscent of classic Mercedes models. The wheel arches flare quite wide and the windshield is sharply angled. The rear of the car boasts both a rear spoiler and twin tailpipes.

The 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class is longer, wider, and lower than its predecessors. As for the ML350, it has a black grill and seventeen inch alloy wheels that come complete with seven spokes.

The ML500 sports a silver grille and is generally loaded with chrome. Its wheels are also alloy, but they are eighteen inches. Improving even more, the AMG Sport and Appearance packages offer wheels which are nineteen inches.
